methods OF TEACHING and MY REASON FOR teaching leaders

 Mind Health Yoga for Leaders

At the heart of my teaching is awareness—the foundation of self-inquiry, yoga, and meditation. I guide leaders into deeper body-mind awareness through breathwork, gentle movement (on the mat or in a chair), focused meditation, mantra, affirmations, and healing sound practices. These tools help release the stress and intensity that often come with leadership roles—stress that, left unaddressed, can lead to burnout, illness, and addiction.


I specialize in private wellness sessions that allow for personalized care. In these sessions, I develop individual plans tailored to each leader’s emotional, physical, and mental needs. My background in mental health, trauma recovery, and patient advocacy informs a compassionate, results-oriented approach rooted in both lived experience and extensive training.


Mind Health Yoga serves executives, business managers, and leaders in government, education, healthcare, and nonprofit sectors. After decades addressing complex personal and social issues, I’ve come to see that the greatest leverage for global healing lies with those who lead. Leaders shape workplaces, policies, and communities—and their well-being has a direct impact on the collective.


My mission is simple and urgent: to support the emergence of centered, calm, wise, and healthy leaders who can make compassionate and sustainable choices for people and the planet.


Mind Health Yoga was born from my deep commitment to healing and empowerment. I originally developed this practice to support individuals facing severe mental illness, emotional trauma, and substance use disorders. As a Patients’ Rights Advocate in psychiatric hospitals, clinics, and residential facilities, I provided legal representation, community education, and peer support grounded in a human rights framework. My work centered on upholding dignity, civil liberties, and the belief in each person’s capacity to recover.


This role demanded strong leadership—navigating complex systems, advocating for vulnerable populations, and inspiring hope in the face of suffering. I now bring that same passion, purpose, and strength into my work as a yoga and meditation teacher. Through Mind Health Yoga, I guide others—especially leaders and professionals—toward inner clarity, cognitive balance, and resilience, drawing on a lifetime of experience in transformative service.
